It's a pleasant,budget friendly and comfortable place to stay.The rooms were pretty spacious and satisfying with an amazing view in the morning,food was delicious specially the morning breakfast the owner even gave us homemade corn flakes with pure milk tea,that was a very humble gesture by them. I really enjoyed the time at Golden Valley Residency and hope to make another stays very soon 🙏🙏

No heater. No power backup except inverter which will serve only one light in a room. Geyser was working fine. Rooms were not air tight, too cold to stay without heater at -10 degree. Food served was very tasty but below the food served in a hostel. Rice, daal, one curry and egg/chicken (2 pieces). That's it. Don't know may be in that height we can expect that only. Dinning hall is away from the rooms and it's very difficult to go to dinning hall at night from the rooms. Overall better to avoid.

The property is neat and clean and is a decent place to spend the night. The caretaker is helpful and humble. Food was great. Since it was December, the temperature was low but we received a good room heater on extra price. Geyser was also available. Overall it’s a good place to spend a night for a decent price considering the remote location.

I would say that this is a decent budget hotel . Rooms are spacious with comfortable bed size. I would recomend others to take a look at this hotel if you are travelling to Lachung. Food is really good for both Veg and Non Veg types. Hotel stuff is very co-operative.

When you arrive there is no one to talk to, or tell you which is your room. There is no space called reception any where in the hotel. You have to go to the kitchen to locate somebody. The rooms have not been swept for a long time, my wife requested for a broom and swept about a weeks dirt of the previous occupants. There was no soap/towels. When we asked for it they said no but when we manged to look into the store room there soaps/towels but the staff do not want to give it. The hotel is under construction and your room will be freezing cold as water is being poured to set the concrete upstairs. There is constant banging in the day. The kitchen staff do not want to make tea at 3PM. You have to wake up the staff at 6am if you want tea prior to your early morning trip. In all this hotel needs major changes. What is the most amazing point is that it has two stars from make my trip-obviously nobody from make my trip has visited this hotel.
